  • This letter is to notify you of the time, location and requirements for the written and agility testing portion of the Branford Police Officer hiring process. Please be prompt as late arrivals will be disqualified.

    The written test has been scheduled for Friday, May 30, 2014 starting promptly at 6:30 p.m. sharp. However due to the high number of recruit applications, you will have to go to http://www.branfordpolice.com/page/24151-Alternative-Testing-Site to determine your testing location. You are required to bring with you a valid driver’s license to ensure your identity for the test.

    All candidates (even those with CHIP Cards) must undergo our department’s agility requirement of a Cooper physical fitness test at the 40 percentile.

    The Cooper test has been scheduled for Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Branford High School athletic field, 185 East Main Street starting promptly at 10:30 a.m. To be eligible to participate in the Cooper testing process, candidates must bring with them; the original Medical Approval Form (provided with the application) completed and signed by a physician, a valid driver’s license to ensure your identity and the Physical Performance Examination -40% Form (provided with the application) with the candidates name, gender and age properly filled out.
